The Replacements - October 1982

OK, so back when these guys were just bursting on the growing Punk Rock scene, I was not sure what to make of them, but they were intense. This show included The Replacements, Husker Du and a third local band, The Appliances. Merlyns was slam packed with punks moshing and going wild to a big new punk rock sound. Looking back, these were fuckin' good times!

June 2006 Newsweek magazine interview, "Mr. Irreplaceable, Paul Westerberg on reuniting (sort of) with those beautiful losers, the Replacements."

If you enjoy these photos, then you must get this book!

The Replacements: Waxed-Up Hair and Painted Shoes: The Photographic History

These photos and much, much more in the most complete and informed—and only— illustrated history of the band ever produced.
